I think that sexual habits can be looked at as a picture of a society (a picture among others, that’s for sure…) Let’s take a look at some data Durex has included in the Global Sex Survey 2005. This information is about Spain:

– Only 8% has tried “trio sex” (15% worldwide – 23% Canada – 17% UK)

–  Only 9% has had a homosexual experience (12% worldwide – 20% USA – 14% Norway)

– Only 5% of people interviewed in Spain told that their sexual life is “monotonous”… how can that be possible?¿ Let’s see…

– 29% use masks or “stimulating clothes” (20% worldwide – 20% Germany – 36% United States)

– 33% has tried anal sex (35% worldwide – 44% Austria – 55% Chile)

What do you think about it?

Sex as an entrance door May 18, 2007

I used to host my blog at Bitacorae and as a matter of fact I didn’t have statistics (although I used Stat Counter)… so one of the things I really like here, in WordPress, is the possibility to know how people come.

There are three main groups of people which I would like to comment.

First of all, there are those who visit my blog just “by accident”, they are surfing and discover Negras tormentas. You are welcome, hope to see you again!

There are also surfers who know me and look for my blog. Mainly, those people are students I teach to at University. They know I have a blog and are interested in reading what the hell that teacher is talking about 😉

Finally, and this group is my favourite, there are people who come to Negras tormentas looking for sex. That’s why I entitled that post “Sex as an entrance door”, I know sex sells but… it’s at least curious… I do not write openly about sex (maybe I should) but as I write about women rights and feminine stereotypes, sometimes I use words such as “blowjob” or “69”.
Nevertheless,  statistics show that when people are asked about their activities on the net,  only 10% (average in Catalonia –> Open University of Catalonia

of Internet users say that they search pornographic contents.

My conclusion (and I quote Dr. Greg House) Everybody lies

Raped in second life? I do not understand… May 7, 2007

I am more and more interested in Second Life and I have just read that a resident from Belgium was raped last month… yes… it sounds strange. Raped? How can you be possibly raped there?¿

It is true that I do not connect every day, but from time to time I like to login and just see what happens. Today, for instance, I have met Yalex Tatham and he was really nice. We have been talking, flying and he has showed me the  Columbus monument, and it really looks like the original (I didn’nt know it existed in Second Life!) I mean, obviously you can find all kind of people,  but you cannot be raped. I have been thinking and thinking about it and I cannot simply find an explanation. If you have any suggestion, please write it as a comment.

As you can read in Wired in that game it is you who control the avatar, if you have made any modification it is under your consent… so the question comes back again… how can you be raped in SL?
